Description
Recent Profile Visitors adds a social tracking layer to your WordPress site by logging user transitions between profiles. The plugin allows site administrators to display a “Who Viewed My Profile” section using customizable widgets or shortcodes. It works by capturing the user ID of logged-in visitors and storing the data to show a chronological list of recent views on the owner’s profile page.
Key technical features include the ability to limit the number of visitors displayed, options to hide specific user roles from tracking, and privacy settings that allow users to opt-out of being tracked. The plugin is optimized for database performance to ensure that tracking thousands of visits doesn’t slow down the server. It supports gravatars, custom user avatars, and links directly to the visitors’ profiles, making it a robust addition for forums, social networks, and professional directories.
