Description
EventOn ICS Importer Add-on is a dedicated syncing tool designed to bridge the gap between external calendar services and your WordPress site. This plugin allows administrators to import .ics files or connect to live ICS URLs to populate their EventOn calendar with real-time data. It features an automated cron job system, which periodically checks for updates in the source feed and reflects those changes on your website without any manual intervention.
The add-on provides granular control over the import process, including options to assign imported events to specific event types, categories, or organizers. It handles timezones accurately and supports the import of recurring events from external sources. You can also set a default featured image for imported items or map specific ICS tags to EventOn fields. This is a practical solution for schools, community hubs, and businesses that need to aggregate schedules from various third-party platforms into a single, styled calendar interface.
