Description
Easy Digital Downloads – Dropbox File Store acts as a bridge between the plugin WordPress ecosystem and cloud storage infrastructure. It allows administrators to securely host downloadable assets in their Dropbox account instead of using the local WordPress file system. When a customer purchases a product, the plugin generates a temporary, secure download link, ensuring that the original file location remains protected.
This integration significantly reduces server storage requirements and avoids bandwidth bottlenecks during high-traffic periods. It supports large file sizes, making it an efficient solution for selling software, media, or heavy datasets. The setup process involves simple API authentication, and the plugin manages all file permissions automatically within the existing Easy Digital Downloads checkout flow.
